The will to be autonomous on a strategic product ; the mask
As Renault announced in May and whose Flins plant has deployed a unit dedicated to mask production for the group’s employees, one of Schneider’s sites in Chasseneuil, a unit in the Charente department (16) has also developed a production line dedicated to masks. Production started in June.
The Schneider Electric group, involved in the fight against COVID-19 from very early on, in association with PSA Valeo and Air Liquide, produced 10,000 artificial respirators in April and May, and is thus taking steps to ensure that masks are always available for employees, thanks to this internal production.
